Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey started at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd was trained in BJJ, kickboxing boxing, and wrestling prior to her debut as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd gained confidence after her win, and she won three bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell by the start of the round. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian prior to going to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was defeated by Aspen with a majority vote. This put a stain on the record of Ladd's amateur. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent match in a fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen started her professional career in 2015after signing to Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta eleven saw Aspen take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta 16 saw her go up to Bantamweight after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's dazzling wrestling ability was able to take down McGill as she was able to stop her in the third round by TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen was then able to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 in a catchweight at 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight however, Aspen took the victory and defeated Hoy via TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last promotion fight. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina through her ground and pound techniques, resulting in the TKO second-round victory. Then, in her third fight she beat Tonya Evinger with a more stunning victory. Ladd ended Evinger's bout after the opening round. Also, she was awarded the bonus for performance of night. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos Anjos Lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was her first fight that she's had in a major role. The two fighters put on a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and each fighter received an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd's winning streak in just 16 seconds. Yana Knitskaya fell in the 3rd round at UFC 7.7 on ESPN. As a replacement she took on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. She was defeated by a unanimous decision.
